Woo Hoo!

Today, I just received the "The Triathlete's Training Bible" from Powertri.com.

In of itself, this is an excellent book to have! But what is really cool is that I won it from a contest by Tri-talk.com. The book was sponsored by Powertri.com. As I have mentioned there are a few triathlon podcasts that I enjoy and David Warden's Tri-talk is definitely a must listen to.

For me, some of the info in his podcasts are just too much right now. But that does not change the incredibly interesting, high quality podcasts that he produces. His enthusiasm for triathlon and the science of triathlon is fun, encouraging and contagious.

I am able to learn even more by reading his transcript while listening to him.

Check Tri-talk out! My name is mentioned as the winner (of the book) in Episode 41. Let me know if you come across it. And let me know if you enjoy Tri-talk as much as I do.

Other podcasts I enjoy are:

GYGO with Iron Kahuna and the beautiful IronWil (a better option is iTunes imho)

and

SimplyStu also at iTunes

Training was poor this week. However, it was expected. It is a hard part of my schedule as I worked 13 hours Saturday, 12 Sunday, 16 Tuesday and then 8 hours Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. There were also a few end of school year activities and the lawn to mow. Tomorrow morning I wake up, go for a 25ish mile bike ride and a 4 mile run. Then in the evening, I will work on my swim a bit. (I have to save money for a swim coach for the 2008 season. This year, I just suffer).

Please drop a note, so I know you come by.

  1. Hi Jumper. I just came across your site and noticed your comments about PowerTri.com and Tri-Talk.com. I'm glad to see the book went to someone who is putting it to good use.

Hope your training for 2008 is going well!
